Stained glass intensive weekend – 1st & 2nd February

Come and join us in this whole weekend workshop where you will make your very own leaded stained glass window with plenty of colour that would cheer anybody up!!

Leaded Window Weekend

Have you ever thought about making your own window? But wondered where to
start? Strictly for beginners this will take you through the basics.

Two days 10am – 4pm on 1 st and 2 nd February 2025. This will be a small group
ensuring close attention.
During the two days you will learn to:
 Cut glass
 Prepare and cut lead
 Lay up and construct a small sample window
 Solder your lead
 Putty and clean

Your tutor will be Chris Walters, a Stained and Leaded glass window maker with 25
years’ experience.
As part of learning these processes you will consider your own design for a future
project. This could be anything from a small window hanging to something more
ambitious…Chris will be happy to talk this through with you. His aim is for you to
head off with ideas and the confidence to put them into action at the end of your
weekend.
The cost of the two-day course is £225 which includes all the materials you will need.
Specialist tools will be provided but there will be a list of items for you to bring along
which will be advised shortly beforehand.

Coffee, tea and biscuits
Specialist tools and how to use them
All materials – including lead, glass, solder and putty
Plenty of guidance and support

There will be a lunch break. Please bring a pack lunch or alternatively, there are plenty of lovely places nearby to grab some food.
